Thomas received his bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University. He was awarded a four year full athletic scholarship while going to college, and was named an "All-American" at the NJCAA National Tennis Championships (1980).

Thomas Anderson is considered one of the world leading experts in the field of placing international student and athletes into US colleges and universities. He has traveled all around the world offering seminars on college recruiting. Every year an average of 100 students and athletes begin college in the USA with the help of Thomas Anderson.
